Just some vent art.
Today was really tough. I just felt like I was doing everything wrong and that I was making everyone angry. Sorry to be such a downer. It's just one of those days.

As far as this picture goes, I actually really like it... I'll write a decent description later. Also, sorry for the inactivity. I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day and I'll be able to get some more things done.

EDIT: So far, today is going much better. Sorry about the baw-fest yesterday. I'm okay.

Anyway, about this picture... I think I might upload JUST Lanie from this picture in my scrapbook, because she lost all her pretty hair details once I shaded this. If I do that, I'll post a link. Anyway, the background was inspired by the ending scene in Bambi, and also the ending scene in The Lion King. I didn't actually look at either of those scenes, though.

I just thought I liked the fire and rain effect, so I tried to doodle something along those lines. I REALLY like how Lanie's eyes came out. I think I'm getting better at communicating emotion. Oh, and I know this probably isn't all that anatomically correct. It was purely vent art, which means I didn't really try all that hard with it. I think I might do something with Lanie and Johnny soon. I miss those two.

This is a gorgeous picture, by the way ... and I also agree, you're getting just plain awesome at communicating emotion. I *love* seeing really emotional pics, partly because they're so difficult to do well. This is awesome. And so is that background. Simple ... but the colors and style is very, very effective.

This is AMAZING work, so much emotion in the face...and the background is gorgeous! "Vent" art is sometimes the best, since we're really letting our emotions out into it...again, amazing!
