I've been wanting to post one of these for ages, and *
frosstbutt's post just reminded me of it.
Here's something to cheer me up! This is how much I've improved in a year! Obviously the picture on the right is not my best work. It has next to no shading or line variation, but oh well. You still get the idea. I'll do a draw-this-again thing sooner or later. I've gotten a LOT better with facial structure and anatomy, although, again, the most recent picture is not the best example of this. Also, I've gotten a lot better at... hair and eyelashes. And eyes in general. And backgrounds, but AGAIN, not the best example.
Anyway, can you guys see the improvement? I definitely can!

You managed to achieve a sound grasp of anatomy, a personalised style and worked out how to manage colour (which is tricky as all hell) to near atmospheric perfection.
